Connecting SEE & Attention Restoration Theory
In reDirect’s third webinar in our series, William Sullivan discusses Attention Restoration Theory (ART) and its importance to understanding how we can reduce mental fatigue and restore our capacity to be effective. He also describes ART’s overlap with the Supportive Environments for Effectiveness (SEE) framework and how to leverage small experiments as a means to make changes to our surrounding environments.
SEE in Action: The Learning Circle Strategy
Lisa Bardwell describes the use of Learning Circles as an outreach strategy. During this interactive webinar, we discuss how Learning Circles were used to connect with our grantees, the ways in which Learning Circles overlap with the Supportive Environments for Effectiveness (SEE) framework, some of the challenges that were faced throughout the process, and how Learning Circles facilitated the early steps toward changing grantees’ workplace culture.
Supportive Environments for Resolving Conflict
The natural human tendencies toward fight or flight often create ongoing tension and a lack of resolution to conflict. Alternative dispute resolution offers a range of tools that provide a supportive environment for good relations and principle-based win-win outcomes. This webinar explores the integration of those ideas and reDirect's Supportive Environments for Effectiveness models, focusing on common workplace situations.
