Grant Opportunities

Engaging programs to help our partners bring out the best in their boards, staff, and communities.

Why We Fund

Efforts to restructure our organizational environments can do a lot to bring out the best in people. The Supportive Environments for Effectiveness (SEE) framework — a research-based approach that helps us better understand how we receive, make sense of, and share information — can serve as a starting point for creating supportive environments that bring out the best in nonprofit personnel, boards, staff, partners, and the communities that they serve.

How We Fund

reDirect embraces a dual process for considering funding opportunities. We identify and cultivate relationships with nonprofit organizations whose programs and initiatives align with our framework and priorities, and invite those organizations to submit requests for funding. We also at times issue requests for proposals from  organizations that meet our funding criteria.

SEE Action Grants Program

The purpose of our SEE Action Grants program is to fund engagements that improve nonprofit processes, communications, volunteer programs, and organizational strategies through their use of SEE. Under this program, reDirect funds organizations whose efforts may already draw on components of the SEE framework. Some examples may include: reassessing how to communicate new information to their communities, trying out small experiments to improve staff effectiveness, reshaping their work’s social, cultural, digital, or physical environment, or making efforts to address employee feelings of burnout, or lack of motivation, communication, or collaboration.

SEE Learning Cohorts

reDirect is interested in creating a network of SEE practitioners who can connect with and aid one another as they navigate organizational challenges using the SEE framework. To accomplish this goal, our program grantees work closely with our SEE Coaches to identify specific challenges that they’re facing and collaboratively brainstorm solutions for long-term success.

We have cohorts located in East-Central Iowa, the greater St. Louis region, Colorado, and Wisconsin. To learn more about this opportunity, contact Ambassadors@redirect.org.
